How I've spent the past few days.... |

We had a sewer line from our kitchen break (the one that carries the wastewater from the dishwasher, not something truly nasty from the bathroom). It broke
apparently in May, but it took us a long time to figure it out because it broke under the slab. Well, the way you fix something under your slab is to go
through the slab -- with a jackhammer. Which is what we had done Thursday and Friday, at which point we had a 12 foot trench across the interior of our house.
Things are getting back to normal now, with the trench filled and the cabinets back and awaiting the new flooring, but this has been stressful.

Holy Shit, that sucks! All is well structurally?

Yeah, everything is fine structurally. And now everything is better than OK as far as infrastructure. While we were in there getting a new sewer line, we had a
new copper water line put in (with more logical places to link in above ground), and Mr. Boton put in an electrical conduit and box in case we ever need to run
cable or electric from one end of the house to the other. But it has been an unholy mess, and I'm due for another few hours of washing things down tonight.

Sorry to hear this! Our friends had this happen a few years ago. Really nasty mess to live with.
So your favorite fast food restaurant is......... |

Jersey Mikes. With bottled mojitos, which make the jackhammering easier on the nerves.
